Although there is no proof, yet, of danger economically or environmentally we still have another new species in our Great Lakes. The Great Lakes Environmental Laboratory has looked into this new creature. They said “As long as it doesn’t impact some sort of fishery in the Great Lakes or cause some compounding of water intake, like zebra mussels, it’s probably of no interest for most people.” As of right now, not much is known on its affect on the fish.
Because of its size the question of how it traveled to Lake Erie has been raised. A theory to answer this question is that they may have been on pet fish that were dropped into the lake.

This year we would like to have a speaker for Earth Day and perhaps another later in the year. Ideally we would like to host two programs a year. Our intention is that the speakers brought in would educate people of our community about environmental issues that affect Michigan. The Michigan Wildlife Conservancy would like to help preserve the natural environment that we have been blessed with.
We have a few ideas about speakers we would like to bring in this year. If you would like to learn more about our Education Fund or the speakers and/or issues we want to present, please contact Jennifer at email@example.com or call at (517) 641-7677.
If you have heard a speaker that you believe we should consider contact Jennifer. Your input is very much appreciated.
If you would like to donate to our Education Fund you may use our secure website at http://miwildlife.org/donate-form.asp, download this form http://miwildlife.org/Mail_In_Donation_Form.pdf and identify that your donation is for our Education Fund, or contact Jennifer over the phone at the above phone number.
